It's every person's dream to be married and remain married and only to be temporarily separated by their soulmate due to death; hoping to be everlastingly united again in Jannah, insya Allah. Of course, the best role model would be our beloved Prophet (sallallahu 'alahi wasallam).
It is for this very reason that every practice of his (sallallahu 'alahi wasallam) be emulated from the sunnah way to find a suitable candidate to getting married, playing one's role as the spouse and to remain in the marriage.
Marriage is without a doubt an emphasized sunnah of our Prophet (sallallahu 'alahi wasallam). Allah (subhanahu wa ta'ala) states in the Quran:

Translation: And of His signs is that
He created for you from yourselves mates that you may find
tranquility in them; and He placed between you affection and
mercy. Indeed in that are signs for a people who give thought.
